Template - pending legal review
This document is a working draft prepared by the team. It is intended as a starting point and will be reviewed by a qualified Australian legal practitioner before paid traffic begins. If any of the language below conflicts with the reviewed final version, the reviewed version controls.
1. Who we are
The Bali Method (thebalimethod.com) is an Australian-operated marketing and concierge service that arranges hair-restoration trips to our independent partner clinic, ETERNAL Clinic, in Bali, Indonesia.
The Bali Method is not the medical provider. The procedure itself, all clinical decisions, candidacy assessments and post-operative care are the responsibility of ETERNAL Clinic and its surgical team. The Bali Method does not provide medical advice, does not employ surgeons, and does not guarantee any clinical outcome.
2. Who can use the service
By using this site or our service you confirm that you are:
- at least 18 years old;
- able to provide truthful information about your medical history during the assessment;
- able to undertake international travel and recovery in Bali (we cannot accept clients with active medical conditions that would make travel unsafe - the surgeon makes the final call at consultation);
- either an Australian resident or willing to depart from an Australian airport for the trip.
3. The service we provide
We coordinate the non-clinical parts of your trip end-to-end: consultation booking, flight bookings from your selected Australian airport, accommodation in Bali for the recovery week, ground transfers, language support, and 12 months of WhatsApp-based aftercare coordination with the surgical team after you return home.
We do not perform, supervise or warrant the medical procedure itself. That sits exclusively with ETERNAL Clinic under their own terms of treatment.
4. The free assessment and your estimate
The 60-second quiz on our website produces an indicative package estimate based on rule-based logic (Norwood stage and stated goal). The estimate is not a medical diagnosis, not a binding quote and not a guarantee of candidacy. Your final treatment plan, graft count and price are confirmed by the surgeon at the free video consultation, after they have reviewed your photos and history.
Information presented by Mira, our AI patient consultant, is for general orientation only. Mira will route any medical question to the surgeon at consultation and does not, and cannot, give medical advice.
5. Deposit
To lock in a clinic slot we ask for a deposit of AU$1,000, collected via Stripe.
- Credited to final price - the deposit is fully credited toward your final package price once your trip is paid in full.
- Non-refundable in general - once paid the deposit is non-refundable. It compensates us and our partner clinic for the clinical-slot reservation and the pre-trip planning that begins immediately on payment.
- Fully refundable in two specific cases - (a) if the surgeon, at consultation, determines on medical grounds that you are not a suitable candidate for the procedure; (b) if we cancel for any reason on our side. In both cases the deposit is refunded in full to the original payment method within 14 business days.
6. Pricing and what is included
Package prices are quoted in Australian dollars and are all-inclusive: hair- transplant procedure, round-trip flights from your selected Australian airport, seven nights' accommodation in Bali, all airport, hotel and clinic transfers, and pre- and post-operative aftercare during your stay.
The price ranges shown on the site reflect our four package tiers. The exact final price is set by the surgeon based on the graft count agreed at consultation. We will confirm the final number in writing before any travel is booked.
The optional couple upgrade is AU$1,000 and adds a hotel-room upgrade with daily breakfast, plus a second round-trip flight from your selected Australian airport for your partner.
Items not included: travel insurance (you are required to hold valid insurance for the trip), visa fees, meals outside breakfast, personal expenses, optional tours or experiences, and any additional medical or non-medical services not part of the package.
7. Travel insurance
You are responsible for arranging comprehensive travel and medical insurance for the duration of your trip. This must include coverage for elective procedures abroad and any complications arising from them. We can recommend suitable Australian providers but the policy is between you and the insurer.
8. Visas and travel documents
Most Australian passport-holders can enter Indonesia on a visa-on- arrival or e-VOA. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of travel. You are responsible for ensuring your travel documents are valid; we will provide a current step-by-step guide once your trip is booked.
9. Cancellation and changes
By you
You can change consultation slots at no cost. If you cancel after paying the deposit, the deposit is forfeit (see section 5) unless one of the two refund cases applies.
If you cancel after flights and accommodation have been booked, non-refundable third-party costs already incurred (airline tickets issued, hotel pre-payments) cannot be returned. Where part of a booking is recoverable from the third party, we will return the recovered amount to you minus any cancellation fees passed on by the airline or hotel.
By us
We may cancel or reschedule your trip in cases of force majeure (events outside our reasonable control - for example, natural disasters, civil unrest, pandemic-related travel restrictions, airline failures, or clinical-emergency closures of the partner clinic). In such cases we will offer the next available slot or a full refund of all amounts paid to us.
10. Medical disclaimer
Hair restoration is an elective surgical procedure. All surgical procedures carry risks. Common risks include but are not limited to: temporary swelling, scabbing, shock loss, infection, variability in graft survival, asymmetry, and the need for follow- up sessions. The surgical team will discuss the full risk profile with you before you proceed.
Results vary from person to person and depend on factors including donor density, scalp condition, lifestyle and adherence to aftercare instructions. The Bali Method makes no representation, warranty or guarantee about the clinical outcome of your procedure. Final candidacy is determined by the surgeon at consultation; the surgeon may decline to proceed on medical grounds.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, The Bali Method's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with your use of our service or this website is limited to the amount you have paid to The Bali Method.
We are not liable for the acts, omissions or clinical outcomes of ETERNAL Clinic, of any airline, hotel, transfer provider, or insurance provider used in the course of your trip. Where any of our service-providers are negligent, your remedy is against that provider directly.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
12. Your conduct
You agree to give us truthful information during the assessment and consultation, to comply with the surgical team's pre-operative and post-operative instructions, and to comply with the lawful instructions of any service-provider used during your trip.
13. Intellectual property
